For as long as I can remember, I have enjoyed working with my hands, colour and creativity. I taught Design and Technology in secondary schools for over 26 years and upon retirement I discovered watercolour!
My Story
I started my painting journey only a couple of years ago by attending the University of the 3rd Age weekly classes. I was then invited to join the Blend Collective last year and have really appreciated the knowledge, skills and camaraderie within the group.
I enjoy the scope of watercolour ... I particularly like creating pen & wash paintings and, along with conventional brushes, I like to use a variety of tools to apply and manipulate paint on paper. The freedom and unpredictability of watercolour are what bring me to it almost daily.
